Where We Work
MLI’s Mine Detection Dog Partnership Program provides life-saving mine detection dogs and the training needed to safely and effectively increase the capacity of indigenous demining organizations; our Survivors’ Assistance programs offer medical assistance, prosthetic devices, and vocational training to empower landmine survivors; and our Children Against Mines Program (CHAMPS) connects children in the U.S. with those in mine-affected communities to foster a global understanding of the landmine issue and engagement in service-learning projects in mine-affected countries.
The map above shows all the countries MLI has worked in (blue) and countries with an urgent need of assistance (red). Read more about our Mine Detection Dog Partnership Program (MDDPP), Survivors’ Assistance, and CHAMPS programs here.
