Sponsor a Dog!

Why Sponsor A Dog?

Fully sponsoring a mine detection dog allows you to make an invaluable contribution towards the removal of the landmines that threaten the lives, health, and peace of many communities around the world.

How Much Does a Mine Detection Dog Cost?

The cost of acquiring, training and delivering a certified mine detection dog to a contaminated country is approximately $25,000. This is a tax-deductible donation, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Although expensive to train and transport, MDDs are critical to mine clearance operations and the countries in greatest need of MDDs are frequently the least able to afford this investment. This is where you can help.

Who Can Sponsor A Dog?

We encourage corporations, foundations, Rotary clubs, church groups, schools, and individuals to sponsor a mine detection dog. Your Mine Detection Dog—named by you— will become a hero to the affected nation. You will receive quarterly updates as your dog progresses through training and begins work.
