Glenelg Country School held its 5th Annual K9-9K Walkathon on April 25th!
On Saturday, April 25th, Glenelg Country School held the 5th annual K9-9K Walkathon/Run and Wellness Fair to benefit The Marshall Legacy Institute. The event promoted the incredible work being done by mine detection dogs (MDDs) around the world and also helped students at Glenelg Country School raise money to sponsor their fifth life-saving canine. The day was a huge success with nearly two hundred people in attendance!
Following the walk/run, there was a BBQ, raffle prizes, and loads of family activities (moon bounce, etc)! MLI’s canine ambassador, MDD Senna, was also on-site performing mine detection demonstrations, showing how dogs are able to safely and effectively “sniff out” landmines!
